
350 fish species are known to exist in Uganda’s fresh waters the biggest water being Lake Victoria that is shared by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The common fish species in Uganda include Nile perch, Catfish and Tilapia. The Ssese Islands on Lake Victoria, are uninhabited except by the local fishermen, and are covered in thick, tropical forest home to monkeys and birds. Fish of over 80 kg i.e. Nile perch have been caught. The main method of fishing in the lake is trolling with lures, although fly fishing has been tried as has live bait. The Tilapia of up to 5kg has been caught on bait at R.Nile below Murchison Falls and fishing is normally with live bait. Catfish of over 50kg are often caught in these waters.Day 1: Entebbe: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your overnight accommodation establishment. Day 2: Lake Victoria :After breakfast you will be transferred to Lake Victoria for fishing from a fully equipped boat as well as other fishing equipments. Dinner and overnight at Entebbe.
Fishing – Safari to Lake Victoria
Day 3 (Fishing in Lake Victoria) : Spend the whole day Victoria on all the neighboring Island of Lake Victoria returning to Entebbe in the evening for overnight at Serena/ Hotel Africana/ Holiday Express.

Day 4: Murchison Falls NP : Early morning departure from the islands to Entebbe for the drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes 6 hours and passes you through the famous Luweero Triangle. Drive to the top of the falls before transferring to Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge /Nile safari camp.
Days 5: Murchison Falls NP : After breakfast, go for a brief game viewing session before going for fishing is from the rocks around several pools below the Falls. In the afternoon, you may go for a launch cruise on the Nile River. This cruise will take you to the bottom of the thundering falls. It involves having a scenic view of schools of hippos, huge crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of water birds such as the rare shoebill, cormorants, ducks, bee-eaters, skimmers, fish eagle, kingfishers and herons. Day 6: Murchison Falls NP : Further time to fishing the waters of the Nile, the world’s second longest river. You can also go for another game viewing drive from where you will see the different wild game which includes lions, leopards, giraffes, antelopes, elephants, and many warthogs. Dinner and Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge /Nile safari camp.
Day 7: Murchison Falls: Whole day Nile Perch fishing at the bottom of Murchson Falls / River Nile. This is the second and last time at Murchison Falls. We wish your good. Dinner and Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Lodge /Nile safari camp.
Day 8: Murchison Falls-Kampala : After breakfast take on a leisurely drive to Kampala arriving at your preferred accommodation establishment late afternoon.
