
Day 1: Arrival : On arrival you will be transferred to the lodge in either Moshi or in Arusha for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Moshi-Machame camp (9,800 ft) :Have breakfast and drive to the park entrance gate where you will have a briefing and begin your trek through the lush tropical forest. This takes 5-7 hours of hiking. You will dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (12,600 ft) : Breakfast and begin your trek again. This will take 4-5 hours of hiking to Shira camp. You will pass through the rocky hills with wide views of the Shira Plateau (11,000 ft). At Shira camp which is on Shira plateau provides a wonderful view of Mount Meru. Enjoy the scenic view. Dinner and overnight at Shira camp
Day 4: Shira Plateau to BarrancoCamp: Have breakfast descent to the bottom of Barraco valley of which you will have passed the Lava tower. As you slop down to the Barraco camp you will see numerous waterfalls and streams. This will take 7-9 hours. Dinner and overnight at Barraco camp.
Day 5: Barranco Cliff to BarafuCamp : Today you will hike past the Karanga camp to the Barafu camp. This takes 7-11 hours passing through lush vegetation in sheltered hollows. Dinner and overnight at Barafu camp.
Day 6: Barafu Camp-ascent to summit; descent to MwekaCamp : Wake up at midnight take something worm and begin your trek at 1:00am ascending by torch light. You will make your way up the paths that are surrounded by the Ratzel and Rebman glaciers. This trek will take you to Stella Point (18,800 ft), in about 5-6 hours. From the Stella point its 2 hours to Uhuru Peak (19,345 ft) the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and the tallest on the African continent. From here you will descend to Barafu and then proceed to the Millenium Camp (12,500 ft).
Day 7: Descend to Mweka gate –Moshi/Arusha : Breakfast and then descend to Mweka gate. Drive back to Moshi or Arusha.
Day 8: Arusha to Tarangire National Park : Breakfast and then drive to Tarangire national park which is about 335km drive from Arusha town. The park is home to over 500 bird species and various animals which live in the acacia and mixed woodland vegetation, baobab trees and old palm, black cotton grass Baobab trees, dense bush and high grasses. On arrival you will take a guided walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 9: Game drive : Breakfast and then go for a game drive where you will spot animals like the wildebeest, elephants, zebras, and hartebeest, giraffes, Impala, Eland, lesser kudu, waterbuck, gazelle rhinos, leopards, giant pythons, Thompson’s gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, cheetah, oryx and generuk, tree climbing lions, birds like Kori bustard, stocking-thighed ostrich, ground hornbills, colourful yellow-collared lovebird, drabber rufous-tailed weaver ,ashy starling ,dwarf mongoose, and pairs of red-and-yellow barbet may be spotted too.
Day 10: Tarangire to Ngorongoro : Breakfast and then take a community walk, after lunch you will drive back to Ngorongoro National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 11 and 12: Full day game viewing : After breakfast you will go for a full day of game viewing where you will spot animals like cheetah, lion, black rhinoceros, hippopotamus, wildebeest the zebra the eland, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles, leopards, elephants, mountain reedbuck, and buffalo, wildebeest, hartebeest, waterbuck, warthog, hyena and jackals.
Primates include baboons and vervet monkeys. During the game drive you might spot some birds which include ostrich, bizarre secretary, black eagles, secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, lovebirds, bustards and plovers, European migrants from November to May include White Storks, swallows, Yellow Wagtails among others, Stonechat, Schalow’s Wheatear, Anteater Chat, Fiscal Shrike, Augur Buzzards, Verreaux’s Eagle and flamingoes, Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13: Ngorongoro to Serengeti : After breakfast go for a community walk to the Masai people where you will enjoy the traditional performances or you will take a forest walk and after lunch you will drive to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 14: Full day game viewing Serengeti: Early morning game drive to see also nocturnal animals returning from hunting and lions awaking in the dawn During the game drive you might spot buffalos, elephant, giraffe, eland, topi, kongoni, impala, Zebras, lion, Solitary leopards near Seronera River, cheetahs, hyena, aardwolf ,serval cat, Gaudy agama lizards and rock hyraxes, Black Rhinoceros , waterbuck, baboon, African wild dog and kongonis. Apart from the animals you might spot various birds which include the ostrich, bizarre secretary, black eagles, and acacia woodland secretary bird, Kori bustard, crowned crane, marabou stork, martial eagle, and lovebirds. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening you can relax at the lodge.
Day 15: Serengeti to Lake Manyara : You will have breakfast, go for a community walk and then drive to Arusha, have lunch on arrival. Relax the rest of the afternoon.
Day 16: Full day game viewing : After breakfast you will go for an early morning game drive where you will spot animals like Leopards, Lions, hippos, impalas, elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, warthogs, giraffes, baboons, zebras, blue monkeys, dik-dik, gazelle and hippos and birds like pelicans, cormorants, storks, Flamingos, and cormorants. In the afternoon after lunch you may go cultural tour or you can go canoeing or take a community walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 17: Lake Manyara to Arusha-Zanzibar : After an ealy morning breakfast you can take a community walk and get to know more about the local people that live with in Lake Manyara area. Later you will drive to Arusha, have lunch and go for a city tour. Visit the museum, markets and buy some souvenirs. In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. You will be picked from Zanzibar airport and transferred to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 18: Stone Town : After breakfast you will visit Stone town. You will visit the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum and the Arab Fort, the 2 cathedrals, and so many mosques. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 19: Spice tour and JozaniForest : After breakfast you will go for a spice tour to the spice plantations near Stone town. You will be provided with a lot of information about these spices, how they are to be used and what they cure. You will have lunch, after lunch you will visit Jozani Forest where you will spot various primates like the Red Colobus Monkey. After the nature walk you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 20: Jambiani Cultural Village Tour : After breakfast you will drive and go for a cultural tour in Jambiani village. It’s a fishermen’s village on the East Coat of Zanzibar. In the morning you drive along the coast. You will visit a traditional herbalist, who will show you the herbs and their uses, a visit to a local plantation on coral stone. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 21: Dolphin tripB: Breakfast and then relax at the beach, after lunch you will go for a dolphin tour to Kizimkazi on the southern part of the Island. This place is a home to so many Dolphins including bottle-nosed dolphins and Humpback dolphins. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 22 to 23: Full day relaxing at the beach
Day 24: Departure: Breakfast and transfer to Zanzibar airport for your departure flight.
