Day 1: Arrival in Kigali: On arrival at the airport, you will be received by our company representative who will transfer you to Kigali serena hotel /Flame Tree Village/ Garr hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Kigali town – Akagera National park: After the morning meal, embark on a scenic drive to Akagera national park, reaching early for lunch at Akagera game Lodge. After lunch, go for afternoon a thrilling boat cruise on Lake Ihema., where you will be rewarded with the sight of hippos, crocodiles and water birds. Dinner and overnight at Rusizi Tented Camp (luxury)/ Akagera game Lodge (deluxe).

Day 3: Akagera National park: Early morning breakfast, go for game drive, northern of the park to catch up with early riser lions, antelopes, giraffes, bush bucks among others, before they go into hiding. Return to the hotel for relaxation by 11:00am, and then lunch. After lunch, go for afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you will be rewarded with view of game as hippos, crocodiles, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Rusizi Tented Camp (luxury)/ Akagera game Lodge (deluxe)
Day 4: Transfer from Akagera to Nyungwe National park : In the morning, you will set off a long drive to Nyungwe National park. You will have en route stopover in Nyanza museum, Butare museum among other areas good for photography and adventure, as well as lunch. Reach Nyungwe in the evening for dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest Lodge/Nyungwe top view lodge/Gisakura hotel. In the alternative you may opt to track chimps in Kibale Forest national park where there are over 98% chances of seeing them.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking: In the morning, you will set off to the forest for chimpanzee tracking adventure. If in Kibale, the Bigodi wetland sanctuary nature walk is a highlight in itself – meet different monkey and bird species.

Day 6: Canopy walk, if in Uganda, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park : In the morning go for the breath taking forest canopy walk; in case you are in Uganda, a morning game drive and the afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes national park : Early morning, enjoy a spectacular drive to Volcanoes national park with stopovers for photography and lunch. Reach Volcanoes national park in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla view lodge/La palme hotel/Muhabura hotel.
Day 8: Gorilla tracking: In the morning, you will go for pre tracking briefing at the park headquarters. Gorilla tracking may take 1-8 hours depending on the group you are allocated and the movement of the gentle giants the previous night. Stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of an hour before exiting the forest. In the afternoon, you may go for nature walks or cultural walk to the Ib’iwachu Cultural village. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Golden monkey/Dian Fossey : This day, you will either go for golden monkey tracking or go for Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke research centre, where Dian, an American anthropologist spent years researching and conserving the gorillas before she was killed and buried next to Digit, a silverback gorilla. On return, transfer to Lake Kivu. Relax at the beach, dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu serena hotel/Stipp Hotel/Paradise Malahide.

Day 10: Boat cruise and transfer to Kigali: In the morning, you will enjoy a boat cruise up to the coffee island, and have a view of the surrounding islands. On return, set off to Kigali, where you will reach early to have the necessary shopping. You will then check in your hotel or be dropped to the airport for your departure flight if it is on schedule.
